Starting from Thursday the 15th December 2016, the Punctum creative space presents a new regular series of composed programme evenings called Audire. It is going to cover various musical genres from different corners of the globe. The mainstay of the project will be a cycle of monthly lectures on the history of electronic music. These regular encounters will be consisting of a lecture, audio samples, discussion and subsequent thematic DJ sets. The cycle will follow the context and development of electronic music from its dadaist and futurist beginnings through post-war avant-garde to the experimental and club dance music of the last decades. It’s going to focus on both the musical side and the evolution of electronic musical instrument technology as well as the social context of the examined genre and period. The series will be presented by the founder of the Messiah Komplex project Jan Němec alias Raveboy and other guests such as Eric Rosenzveig, a lecturer and Head of FAMU Center of Audiovisual Studies. All the individual parts will be carried out under the curatorial supervision of Pavel Štěpánek alias Yukimura, producer of the Mustakillah Sound project.
